A Moment Where Mom Gets to Be in the Frame |
Last week we finally got our first taste of warm weather after what felt like the longest winter to have ever happened.
The snow mountains seemed to stick around forever, which is pretty unusual for southeastern Pennsylvania.
By the end of it, I was honestly questioning if we would ever have warm days again.
But with last week’s stretch of warmer weather, I was reassured that spring really is on its way.
And with spring comes the reminder that Mother’s Day will be here before we know it.
That got me thinking about all the wonderful women in my life: the moms, grandmothers, and caregivers who are usually the ones behind the camera capturing the memories.
They’re the ones documenting birthdays, everyday moments, and the little milestones that make up life.
But these wonderful women are so often not in the photos themselves.
That’s exactly why I wanted to offer Mother’s Day mini sessions this year.
These sessions are designed to give moms the chance to step into the frame and be part of the memories they work so hard to preserve.
The goal isn’t stiff poses or perfectly coordinated outfits, it’s capturing this season of your family’s life just as it is right now.
The hugs, the laughter, the way your child reaches for your hand, those are the moments you’ll hold onto forever.
Mother’s Day Mini Session Details

April 19, 2026

These sessions are perfect for:
- Moms and their children

- Anyone wanting to celebrate motherhood and family
I’ve kept this event intentionally small with only six sessions available,
so each family gets a relaxed and meaningful experience.
What to Wear for Mother’s Day Photos
Something I know everyone worries about: what in the world do I wear?
Soft, neutral colors tend to photograph beautifully in natural light.
Think tones like:
- cream
- soft greens
- light blues
- warm earth tones
Flowy dresses, cozy sweaters, and comfortable outfits always photograph well.
The goal isn’t to match perfectly, but to coordinate in a way that feels natural and
lets the focus stay on your connection as a family.
And most importantly, wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident.
When you feel like yourself, the photos reflect that!
As a general rule:
it’s best to avoid clothing with large logos,
very busy patterns, or outfits that clash with each other.
Keeping things simple and neutral helps keep the
attention on the people in the photo, not the clothes.
The Location
These sessions will take place in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania in a beautiful outdoor setting
that offers soft natural light and a peaceful backdrop for family photos.
Outdoor locations allow for more natural movement and interaction,
which helps create the relaxed, candid moments that I love to capture the most.
Why These Photos Matter
Photos have a way of becoming more meaningful with time.
The images we take today often become the ones we look back on years later,
the ones that remind us of what life felt like in that exact season.
Mother’s Day mini sessions are meant to celebrate that connection
and create something that will last for generations.
Booking
Mother’s Day mini sessions are limited to six sessions.
If you’d like to reserve your spot, you can book your session here:
I can’t wait to capture these moments for you and your family.
And if you’ve made it this far - thank you.
